Orange you cute!
Isn't she cute? I didn't like the color orange growing up. But, as a paper-crafter, orange has really grown on me. I made this card with my daughter's birthday in mind. She's pretty girly. I went a little crazy with the hair and I don't like how it turned out. I do like the rest of the card.
I paper-pieced the hat, gift, and bag. I wasn't sure how to make the bag look 3-D. Then, I had an epiphany. I stamped and colored the image on white cardstock. I cut out just the square portion of the bag (left off the handle). Then, I stamped the bag onto a piece of acetate and cut it out. I glued the paper piece onto the acetate and taped it to my girl image. This makes it look like she's actually holding the handle of the bag.
